The journal was established in 2003. It publishes original articles in the areas of fundamental and applied sciences covering technical sciences and knowledge-intensive technologies, significant advances in engineering practice, as well as survey articles providing the latest contributions in the subject areas described above. From 2005 to 2015 the journal was in the List of peer-reviewed scientific journals which provided open access to the research results of high-quality dissertations for academic degree of Candidate of Sciences and for academic degree of Doctor of Sciences to ensure rapid dissemination of these results throughout the scientific community.
