Background

1959 – Graduated from the Department of Physics at Chernyshevsky Saratov State University

1968 – He received his PhD (Engineering) in electronic technology

Since 1968 he has worked at Saratov Polytechnic Institute (Now: Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov)

From 1968 to 1980 he was an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics (Now: Department of Electronic Devices)

From 1980 to 1982 head at the Department of Automated Control Systems (Now: Department of Systems Engineering)

1981 – he received his Dr.-Engineering degree in electrothermal processes and facilities

From 1982 to 1992 – head of Department of Power Supply to Industrial Enterprises

From 1990 to 1997 – vice-rector in academic affairs.

From 2011 to 2015 he was appointed professor at the Department of Automated Electrotechnical System Devices

From 1992 to 2011 – head of Department of Automated Electrotechnical System Devices

From 2015 he is professor at the Department of Power Supply to Industrial Enterprises

He is head of the leading scientific school of the Russian Federation NSh -9553.2006.8 “Developing the theory , research characteristics and microwave systems for electrotechnical devices for the efficiency of a wide range of technological processes.”

He is a member of the Doctoral Dissertation Councils (in electrotechnology) at Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov and Samara State Technical University.

Publications and Patents

Has authored more than 240 publications, including 13 books, 6 student guide and teacher manuals, 1 manual, and holds 19 patents. He is engaged in research and development on microwave electrothermal devices, mathematical simulation of technological processes, heat- and mass transfer in the electromagnetic field, electrodynamics and microwave engineering, metrology, radio components engineering, and thermal noise in microwave electrovacuum devices.
